I am writing a large markdown document and would like to place a table of contents of sorts at the beginning that will provide links to various locations in the document. It seems like a simple format file to express text and pictures. For example, to highlight js, i write:

I want to use markdown to store textual information. Zhihu, a high-quality Q&A community on the Chinese Internet and an original content platform where creators gather, was officially launched in January 2011 with the brand mission of "allowing people to better share knowledge, experience and insights, and find their own answers." But as my notes get longer i find it difficult to find what i want. So, you should never need a full path link (that contains github domain) to link to files in the. I guess there is an editor or syntax explanation somewhere. But quick googling says markdown does not support color.

How can i do this? On github, several projects have readme.md files. But /readme.md is in top level, thus it shouldn't need a relative link that contains./. I use marked to view my markdown notes and its beautiful.
