The freshness of coffee beans decreases rapidly after opening. Seasonal humidity is more likely to cause coffee beans to become moldy and spoilage. I used to use vacuumed jars to store beans, but I found that I had to vacuum them every time I brewed coffee. This forced the coffee beans to be vented, although the mold was solved. The following is my own coffee bean storage experience for a home espresso machine. I am the only one drinking coffee at home. I brew double shot espresso about 1 to 2 times a day. I only buy one pound of espresso beans at a time and replace them with new ones after I finish drinking. One pound of this is probably enough to drink.
