Vti or vtsax in brokerage accounti have found that the convenience of mutual funds is worth the ~$150 fee difference on my ~$1.5m in vtsax. If so, it's exactly the same as vtsax, but with an even lower expense ratio. Also, is vti the equivalent of vtsax?

Vti, vtsmx, vtsax « on: First of all, vtsax is a ticker symbol, and the official name of the fund is Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund, but vtsax is a market similar to S&P500 in Vanguard. Are any of the others comparable? Vtsax is a market cap weighted fund. I think you mean vsmpx. The stocks of the s&p 500 make up about 80% of vtsax by market cap.
I am sure back when xom had the highest market, it would have been.
So naturally, as of now, those stocks take up much of the share.
