Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, grandly held the 100th Kenshin Kosai Festival from August 22nd (Friday) to August 24th (Sunday), 2025. This festival honors the bravery and virtues of Uesugi Kenshin, a famous general from the Sengoku period. The 100th Kenshin Kosai Festival will be held from Saturday, August 23rd to Sunday, August 24th, 2025, around the Kasugayama Castle Ruins and Kasugayama Castle Historic Site Square in Joetsu City. The Kenshin Festival celebrates the bravery of Uesugi Kenshin, a famous warlord during the Sengoku period.
